Geographical localization
Port-kind is established on the East coast of the Lopez island. The roadstead is constituted by the plan of water spreading to the South of the bench of the Talisman. It is sheltered well of the dominant winds of Southwest, very quiet, and offer an excellent moistening. A deprived oil station is established to the Pointe Clairette.

Piloting, tow:
The piloting is obligatory to accost to the Harbor facilities of Port-Gentil and for the access to the oil station of the Thin Tip. Besides, moistening in a controlled zone, carried on the settings, is submitted to the authorization of the piloting service.
   
Facilities achieved to the title of the aforesaid works were constituted of an oblong mole, protected by a dam. The work had been implanted by funds of 2 meters allowing the boarding of the barges all hour of the tide.

Amenities achieved on the mole foresaw the raising of the buildings of the captain of the port, the services of Customs, the harbor hangars as well as the private warehouses.


Facilities
The new port is situated between the Bench of the halcyon and the Thin tip.
- An embankment of trade, long of 375 meters with 11 meters of water to the foot.
- An embankment of chalandage, long of 75 meters and swept to 2,5 meters.
- An embankment of fishing situated South side of a 250-meter large darse, and North side of the trade embankment to 280-meter long with depths of 7 to 8 meters.

- The embankment of the Logistical Basis, long of 180 meters, edges at the north the entry of the darse.
- A store wedges 6 000 m², 20 000 m² of roadbeds arranged for a raw surface of the zone under custom of 25 hectares,
A set of offices close to the embankment for the Captain and the users
Of the administrative buildings outside of the customs surrounding wall for the concerned administrations (OPRAG, Custom, State police, Police of the Borders)
An industrial zone of 100 hectares close to the port of which a part situated in side of darse and reserved to the interview and to the naval repair.
